I have been staying in the Hotel Park in Split since I first started coming to Croatia. Back then it was the only Hotel of 4star that really was of four star quality. It has kept it standard high all along. The Restaurant is one of the most romantic and loveliest around, albeit a little expensive, it is worth it. The Hotel is located beside the Centre within minutes of Diocletians Palace and the busy bars cafes restaurants and shops encased inside. It is in front of the famous Bacvice sandy Beach for lazy sunshine days. For a lovely evening and a pleasant stay ,this is still one of my favourites.
We ate fabuloius Scampi na zaru and a fresh fish platter a bottle of Posip Cara and complimentary champagne. Desserts were freshly cut fruit and watermelon with delicious coffee to finish.
The menu at the Park is vairied an now has a real Italian twist with its new Genovese Chef, with specialities from Croatia and Genoa side by side.
